So quickly it changes....

Oh man...... remember my last post about my new job?... well.... I may or may not have decided against that job after a few days of training... I was so excited for the opportunity to be able to have such an awesome job& to work with such fun girls!! Unfortunately mid training one day I just started feeling uneasy about the decision I had made. I have been really good at listening to my "gut" lately. My heart wasn't fully in the new job and I didn't see it fair to continue there if I wasn't 100%. So after some consideration I decided to take another route. I took my resume to a few salons in the Utah Valley and was hopeful that maybe something would come of it. The following day I got a call for an interview for a salon in Orem. I was very impressed with the front desk staff when I had gone into this salon & I was looking forward to the opportunity to interview. I went in the next day and I was BLOWN away when I got a full tour of the salon. It is a full service salon including: Mani's, pedi's, shellac, airbrush tanning, tanning beds, all esthetic services, massage and a fitness studio. after my initial interview we set up a working interview for the next week to meet with the salon owner who works behind the chair. needless to say I was super excited to have a second interview! I had a friend of mine come and be my model & the entire time I just felt so comfortable being there like I'd worked there before. The salon is soooooo similar to my salon in San Diego & I have missed Salon Bordeaux & all of my friendsies there, so it was nice to feel back at home even if it wasn't quite the same. After my client was all done I was able to chat with the salon owner and.... SHE OFFERED ME THE JOB!! We both agreed that it felt like a good fit and we were excited to move forward! So I will officially be taking clients for both Hair & Skin services at Season's Salon in Orem starting in September!! I feel like I have been blessed with so much since moving to Provo back in June & I am so grateful for the support of my family & friends. I would be so ungrateful if I didn't say that the Big Guy Upstairs isn't looking out for me. I am recognizing the tender mercies he has been sending my way daily. Speaking of tender mercies.... I recently have been graced with the presence of an AMAZING new friend in my life. Within a few weeks of meeting we became good friends and are now ROOMMATES. yes folks, its true. For the first time EVER I have a roommate IN MY ROOM with me! Being an only child I never really had to share my room... so i thought it would be a major adjustment. In all honesty.. I love it! I am actually kind of sad that its only temporary.. Jen will be moving to a room upstairs in October.. and I already miss her! I think that the big changes in my life... Things just keep getting better and better around here! I am SUPER excited for fall! BYU starts next week and that means Provo will be crawling with social activities! I am really looking forward to getting involved & meeting a ton of people! With my super cutie roommate & Ashley living with me now things are going to get crazy for sure!

I am soooooo stoked for Wesley to come visit with me & Ashley for 5 DAYSSSS!! oh man I can't believe i haven't seen that girl since May. ick. #toolong. #neveragain

Well its official......

I AM EMPLOYED!!!!!!

How is my life so great?! So the day after  I got back from my AWESOME trip to San Fran I got a text from my friend asking if I had figured out all of my license junk... honestly? I had been so focused on getting school over and done with I hadn't though much about renewing my esthetic license... that was until that text. So she told me they were rehiring for the job i originally moved out the Utah for and it was a part time position. I immediately called Utah state board and asked what I had to do to get my license... they said bring us monies today and we will give it to you! well hot dang?! you better believe I drove my buns up to Salt Lake City that moment and got my license... headed straight back to Provo, dropped off my license at American Laser SkinCare in Orem and a few days later got the official call offering me a jobby!!!! I started training on Monday of this week and I am really looking forward to starting taking clients in a few weeks! Best part about all of this is my training ends the same week I will be finishing school @ Taylor Andrews! There IS a light at the end of my beauty school tunnel!!

I am feeling sooooooo blessed for all of the awesomeness this month is bringing me! & I am really looking forward to what the rest of the month will bring! I am getting a new roommate next week! So excited for Ashley Bird to move in with me! We are going to have a great time I just know it... and that gives our little Wesley that much more incentive to come visit us. hint hint.

Back to the real life blogging..

So its been a while since Ive given a real life update... I've been working on my business blogs more than my personal because for a long while it felt like all my personal life was, was building my business! No complaints here.... but in an effort to separate business and pleasure its back to my Bizz! For a little insight to my past year you can check out my other blog Blissful Beauty & for updates on my inspiration and continuing work as a Beautician you can check out my Tumblr So back to my personal life, so the last time I blogged about my life was when i gave the whole story about my move to provo (which can be found here) A lot has changed in the past 7 weeks. Ive been taking my time with school trying to adjust to living in Utah. I have made a lot of great friends while being in hair school! Awesome fun girls!

I was able to spend my 26th birthday with some close friends. I was spoiled at school with cupcakes & surprise flowers from my besties back home! I also treated myself to a bike (had to leave pinky at home, so mom sold her & now I've got Havanna to ride)

I passed the state board exam for Cosmetology in Utah! Holla!! Only 200 more hours and I am official!

Had a fun 4th of July

Ive been missing California so much, I don't know if it is the feeling of being land locked or the large quantities of white people here but I'd been longing for home & i sincerely tried to make a trip out to San Diego but it just wasn't going to happen... Randomly a friend of mine asked if I would want to meet him in San Francisco and drive back to Provo with him as his road trip buddy had bailed..Seeing as SF is one of my favorite places on the planet I couldn't refuse. So we were able to spend a couple days in the city. We played tourist & went to fisherman's wharf & visited the Full House house, went and saw the Redwoods @ Muir Woods & drove up the 1 and enjoyed the beach for a bit. Then it was time to go back to real life so we drove back to Provo & lucky me we got to stop @ Trader Joes in Reno... this may not seem like a big deal but I've been DYING for the Mediterranean Hummus. my life is now complete. It was such a good time hanging out with my friend and just stepping out of the bubble and seeing the OCEAN!Oh how I've missed the beach. Its true what they say, "You don't know what you've got till its gone."

All and all things are coming along with life. Im enjoying my life here & am looking forward to the exciting things that will be happening in the fall including my NEW ROOMMATE Ashley Bird! & finishing school! I can't wait to be in a salon again!!
